Still no news.....and names

So still no news on the new little guy. We're praying to hear tomorrow!! But in the meantime, we thought it would be fun to have ya'll help us pick out a name!!  I know it's harder to do without a picture, but let's give it a try :)

The cute little boy pictured above will, Lord willing, be named Jackson Levi Golden in the near future. So what do you think his brother's name should be? Put your name suggestion(s) in a comment below. And if possible put the meaning with the name!! This should give us all something to do while we wait!! lol

  1. Isaiah "the Lord is my salvation" is my very favorite boy's name. I also LOVE Zachariah--and the meaning is especially applicable to adoption--"Remembered by the Lord". I chose that as the middle name for a boy I had hoped to adopt (sadly, the adoption will not work out for me--but he will be adopted by another family)--I wanted him to know that God had not forgotten about him and God had a plan for his life. Also Jeremiah "Yahweh exalts" makes me think of the verse--"I know the plans I have for you--to give you hope and a future". Micah "Who is like God" is also really cute...I guess I like biblical names ending in ah. But, to balance things out--I also love Aidan "little fire." I am sure whatever name you choose will be just perfect.

  2. #1 Abel...meaning in hebrew is breath but I love the sound of this name. It is also unusual and and in the hebrew tradition of naming your child what you want them to become Abel had the correct heart before God and a pleasing offering to the Lord

#2 Elijah...hebrew meaning My God is Lord

#3 Gabriel...hebrew meaning God is my might

Plus they all have cute nicknames...Abe, Eli, and Gabe.
Can't wait to see the new little guy and so sorry to hear of your loss.

  3. JONATHAN - GIFT FROM GOD
    SIMEON - GOD HEARD

these two names came spontaneously to my mind when I think about your new blessing. Your third son is in a way a special gift from GOD. Caleb "opened" him the way to your family.
YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN heard you, HEARD your cries and questions, ANSWERED your prayers to lead you to another blessing, HE saw how you relaid on HIM, trusted HIM after the painfull loss of Caleb.
The story of SIMEON in the new testament touches my heart again and again. How this old man never lost the HOPE waiting for the MESSIAH, how he fully trusted the promise GOD made him.
Luke 25: Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him.
26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Messiah.
27 Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required,
28 Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:
29 'Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss3 your servant in peace.
30 For my eyes have seen your salvation,
31 which you have prepared in the sight of all nations:
32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.'
33 The child's father and mother marvelled at what was said about him.
34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: 'This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against,
35 so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.'

  4. Malachi: God's messenger (I think that's my favorite)
    David: Beloved.
    Ezekiel: the strenght of God
Josiah: the fire of the Lord (I think Jackson and Josiah sound cute together)

  5. I like Elijah and Moses because of who they are in the Bible. They are some of the most amazing Bible characters. Elijah was mentioned above. I don't know what Moses means besides what it says in Exodus--"drawn out."
